Memorial Weekend

We had a great Memorial Weekend. We headed down to Jersey
to hang with the Clarks. The first day we decided to go into New
York City cause Uncle Jed was also in town from Cali. so we
decided to hit up the big city. We just kind of laid low and went
to time square and central park. Had lunch and just saw some sights.
The second day we hit the Jersey shore. It was in the low 80's but
with the wind it was pretty cold so we didn't get in the water but
Georgia did love the sand. Then we came home today and had
a fun picnic with our friends. Thanks to everyone who made our
Memorial weekend very memorable.

Silly Sleeper

Georgia is seriously a wild sleeper. Sometimes when
we check on her her legs are hanging out of the bars, she has
also somehow to managed to get between the bumpers and the
bars, also the other night she started crying which doesn't happen
often and she had both leg stuck in the opposite bars so she was
doing the middle splits in her sleep. We always laugh about it and try
to get pictures but usually by the time we get the camera out she
has moved again.
Last night she was in a new position.. she must have got tired
while she was playing cause she just bent over
and decided to fall into a deep slumber.
Silly girl!

1st timers at the zoo...If you could even call it a zoo.

Georgia and I headed down to visit the Clarks last week.
Jace was busy and had two test so we decided to let him have
a few days to cram with out us home. We decided to take the girls to a
local zoo. When we walked up to the door we wanted to turn right
back around because of the stench that was billowing out.
We braved the stench paid and then got out to see the
animals. After the first few animals both Linds and I were
ready to start crying for the poor animals at this home made zoo.
The poor giraffes were eating the building literally...
they had eaten the siding and when we got there
they were chewing on the insulation. Two cute girls!

Here is one of the conversations we had...
Josie: Mommy do you have scissors?
Linds: No
Josie: Aunt TT do you have scissors?
TT: I don't Jose
Linds: Why do you need scissors?
Josie: I need to cut the nets to let them out
Talk about heart breaking when a 2 year old can tell that the
animals are not being taken care of that is sad.

Georgia got these sweet shades from her aunt Linds.
One thing we could laugh about was that we
saw into our futures after a few more kids...
Talk about saggie!!!

Day After Day...

It's been kind of warm here and we have been taking at least
one trip to the park every day, sometimes twice a day.
We started going so gunner could play ball but Georgia has
started LOVING IT! She even threw her first major
tantrum the other day when I took her off the swing after about
30 minutes of being in it. She screamed bloody murder,
kicked those little legs, arched that back as far as it would go and
flapped those arms she was not happy.
She started the slide this week and I think it's her
new favorite.

You can really tell she is mine in this picture.

A whole new day

Today was my first official mothers day which brings on a
whole new meaning of mothers day. It's usually the day to
celebrate our mom's, and grandma's and it still is but I got
to have my little family celebrate me, and it was a good day.
I woke up to a little girl talking to me and then a few
minutes latter getting breakfast in bed. Oh it was so good too
I've never had breakfast in bed but I want to make it a weekly
event. Then we we went to church and then came home for an
awesome lunch/ dinner. Jace made us kabobs and a salad that were
so good. Then after a nap we went to the tulip festival.

Being a mother is the most amazing thing I have
ever experienced. I am so blessed to have such a beautiful
fun little girl. I love her so much and am so lucky to have spent
my first mothers day with the little one who made me a mom.

Team Nate

Today "Team Nate" set out to do the 5k walk for M.S.
It was truly amazing to be with hundreds of people
all coming together to raise money and awareness for the disease.
It was a great experience and we were able to raise $440 in 8 day's.
It was a lot of fun but it was also very emotional
for me. Every time I would look at one of our shirts I was reminded of
the reason we were there. (and yes I was crying on the walk)
Our best friend Nate is struggling with the
disease and we want to do anything I can to help find a cure.
Jace and Georgia getting ready to kick off the walk
Before the walk Georgia had to take a pit
stop by the swings.
After the walk

Thank you to all who donated we couldn't
have done it with out you.
