Next Helpers

A few day's after Nanny left we got even more help.
Joe and Cel came to help out and boy did I need it
there was a few day's in between visitors and for those
few day's I didn't know if I would survive. We were living in a mess
had no food and stayed in our p.j's all day. But I survived and
the second they got here they went to work. There was so much
they did for us. From working in the yard to cooking, cleaning
to entertaining Georgia and just helping me. They let me sleep
and rest and took Millie it was so nice. And they filled our
house with food not just the cupboards but the storage shelves too.
It was such a relief for me.
We also had a lot of fun went to Cooperstown to the
baseball hall of fame, ate at Dinosaur BBQ
and even got to play some rummy. Thanks Joe and Cel
for coming and for all you did for us.
Cel and Millie
Grandpa and Grandma with there girls
G loved playing with Grandma
I love that they both have a girl, so cute
Baseball hall of fame, was really cool
I had to put this pic in for two reasons one look at that cute blanket
Grandma Made for Millie it's so soft and cuddly. The second
is that G loves talking to Millie and telling her what to do.
This pic she is saying " Mill say cheese and look at mommy"
Also I had to add this pic because this is the quilt
Grandma made for Millie. Oh my gosh it's my favorite
I am so in love with it I'll have to take a pic of the whole thing
cause this doesn't give it justice it is perfect.
Thanks Joe and Cel we love ya and miss you

Potty Time

My friend Adrienne told me the best time to potty
train is when you have a new baby. Her reason is because
you never leave your house with a new baby and so
you don't have an accident at a store or something.
Well she is totally right!
Georgia wanted to potty train in like February
and had done pretty well until she got a UTI
and then wanted nothing to do with the toilet.
So we stopped and decided to pick back up when
Millie was born. It was so easy and awesome because
for day's we just made her drink a ton so she
knew when she needed to go. We only had 2 accidents total.
One was outside on the grass
(which lets be honest I didn't mind cause I didn't have to clean up)
I just had to throw her in the bath. And the other was right when she
got up from a nap and I forgot to ask her to go.
And every day we would have this same conversation
G: Mom do I have big girl panties on
M: Yep
G: Ok then I need to go to the potty
I'm so glad I only had to change 2
kids diapers for a week now I'm back down to one.
Good Job Georgie!

Millies First Week

I don't remember much about the first week of Millies
life because my amazing mother in-law let me sleep a lot.
It was so nice she would play with G all day and come and get
Millie to burp her so I could go back to bed, cook us meals
bring me food into my room, bring me drinks, she made us cookies and
treats and was just simply a dream. She just let
me relax and do nothing witch was so nice and much needed
Georgia also loves having her own real baby she has said
probably a hundred million times "I'm a big sister" and
"look that's my baby". G is also such a good helper she is always
trying to help and get Binky's, blankets, diapers and wipes or
what ever we need. Daddy would get home and get a hold of Millie and she would just
stare at him. She already loves her daddy and his voice.
Two daddy's girls. They are like this a lot
Nanny and G making some cookies. Which I think she made
3 or 4 batches while she was here. She stocked us up on all of
our favorite things that remind us of home.
Nanny also keeping G happy by painting nails
Liljenquist Girls
Again these girls love their dad
Georgia is really IN LOVE with her baby sister
J.C. did this with Georgia a lot to. Writing a paper and doing
homework, what baby doesn't love that.

Naming Game

Ok so I am going back and documenting the last month of Millie's life
so I don't forget about the stuff.
The day after Millie was born was awesome for me for selfish reasons. J.C.
had to go to school and so I got to spend the whole morning and
afternoon just holding, kissing and staring at my new little baby .
It was so nice because I got to sleep, rest, and just relax. I turned off my phone
and computer and just really fell in love with this new little
baby. At this point in time she still didn't have a
definite name I wanted Millie but J.C. wanted to name
her Millicent and just call her Millie. I was not sold on that idea
so I went back to the beginning trying to think of names I liked.
Later in the afternoon J.C. picked up Georgia and came
to the hospital to spend some time with us. Which was fun
for the first 30 min after that G was board and being crazy so we told
Linds and Pagie to come up and visit and grab G which they so nicely
did. I also didn't mention that all this time G was in the fabulous care
of Linds and Paige and she was having so much fun with her Aunts and
cousins.
On Friday they let us go home, the only problem is she still didn't have a name.
At 7:30 a nurse came in and got all of our paper work done
they asked if we had finished filling out her birth certificate?
Nope we still hadn't figured out a name. We were both being hard
headed and wouldn't let down. At about 10 o'clock I got so irritated
and said ok well since we won't back down lets start over so we both
started saying names we liked. I liked some and he liked some but
we hated each others names. Then we decided to make a pro and
cons list about naming her Millie vs. Millicent. I have to say that the
list was pretty funny it was things like
JC likes, Tiana likes, Georgia says it cute, but nothing really to
help us decide. Then I talked to my mom she like both names
and couldn't figure out why it was taking us so long. My mom said
just give in. In the end you will always call her Millie so if he wants
it that bad just give it to him. After thinking about it I obviously was
ok naming her Millicent, but in return I got naming rights on the
next kid. So next time we won't be having the same problem. hahaha
We finally made it home that afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Yep it took
us all day to decide. Here are some pics of our first 2 day's with Millie.
And the visitors we had in the hospital.
G loves hoding her and keep saying " I'm a big sister"
Two of my best friends came to visit
Nanny made it to New York the day after Millie was
born and stayed for the 10 day's of her life. We were so grateful
that she was able to come and take care of us. I don't know what
I would do with out her.
Pagie was in the hospital room with us and took such good care
of G while I was in the hospital. We will always be greatful for her.
Linds and the girls also came up to help with G and meet there
new little cousin
And then it was time to go home with our newly named
Millicent Liljenquist

Miss Millie

I have so much to blog about I am way
behind, no one told me that 2 kids would totally
kick my butt. It's a good thing that I have had a lot of help.
I did want to blog today because it's Millie's one month birthday.
Millie has brought so much happiness into our home.
Georgia just loves her baby sister and we do too. Millie is such
a good baby hardly ever even makes a peep, she is so
relaxed and easy going. Lets hope she stays like that since
her big sister is a handful all on her own.
We took her to the Dr this week and here are her stats.
Weight- 10lbs 8oz (90%)
Height- 21.5 inches (50%)
We love little Millie and are so grateful for her every day.
I find Georgia like this a lot she loves to lay next to Millie
and talk to her. It's so cute and Millie will just stare at her.
This is one happy big sister. She loves to hold and help with her baby.
Millie we love you so much you are the perfect little girl to come
into our crazy little family. I am going to go back and blog about
all the help and the first month of sweet little Millie's life so get ready.
