For Daddy
Georgia and I am in Utah and we have been
none stop playing with cousins for the past 36 hours that
we have been here. This is a new cousin Charlie that we haven't
meet till yesterday. Also we just wanted to put a few pictures
up for Jace. We miss him so much already and can't wait to see
him next week.
Grandma and the kids. Mostly I wanted to show K's face.

Things I am grateful for today
That I finished my neighbor/visiting teaching Christmas
presents. And that they turned out kind of cute even though
my husband doubted that I could embroider them after
watching a 1 minute tutorial on it.

and hasn't felt good today (which makes our days kind of hard),
she still managed to make me smile and laugh.
As I started to shovel the 8 inches of snow off my drive way
a brother and sister walking by with shovels in there hands asked if
they could help. I being the negative one told them no cause I didn't
have any money and didn't want to pay to have someone do
something I am totally capable of doing.
( I had turned down 2 sixteen year old boys doing it earlier cause I was not paying $20)
Only to my surprise the 14 year old girl says to me no we don't
want to get paid we just want to help. (in my head I am thinking it's
some how a scam) So I say to them you don't want to get paid then
why are you doing it? The 12 year old boy pipes in and says we were
board at home and our mom told us to go do something nice,
so were seeing if we can help people shovel snow.
Tears almost filled my eyes right then and there. So the 3 of
us shoveled the drive way and the side walk. As we were shoveling I
keep thinking a few things. 1st was how many 12 & 14 year old's would
do this? 2nd their mom did something right in raising these two kids.
Even if my mom told me to go do something nice I probably would
never have done this. 3rd was gratitude towards them for helping me
do something that would have taken me 15-20 minutes to do and the 3
of us did it in maybe 5 min. After we were done I invited them in my
house and gave them a whopping $3.00 (thats all I had) and some
candy for helping. The sad part was I couldn't even tell them to go get
a pop with the money cause it wasn't enough for each of them to have
one. So today I was grateful for my two new shoveling friends.

Pure Joy
Georgia woke up yesterday to the first snow here in New York.
She stood by the windows for a little bit watching it before I asked
Jace to take her out cause it was far too cold for me. I stood at the
kitchen window doing dishes and watched this girl find pure joy in
the little white snow flakes that were falling on her nose, in her dad's
mouth and on both of there heads. She was amazed and loved
watching the snow fall she probably would have stayed out
side all day if we would have let her. I think the pictures show
how much she loved it.

Best Buddies
Josie and Georgia haven't always been the best of friends.
Most of the time they are so happy to see each other then when
they start playing is when it gets nasty and one of them usually ends
in time out. So we have been working hard on showing them that they
can have fun with each other instead of just being jealous and mean.
Well the last trip was a little better where they spent about half of
there time playing and half of the time fighting. But over thanksgiving
they finally "got it"! They couldn't get enough of each other. They were
running and chasing each other. Playing with blocks, sharing there
movies. It was so nice and so much fun. I am so thankful that Georgia
has cousins her age or close to her age. Growing up my cousins were
and still to this day are some of my best friends and I am so thankful
that G will get to have that growing up.
