That I finished my neighbor/visiting teaching Christmas
presents. And that they turned out kind of cute even though
my husband doubted that I could embroider them after
watching a 1 minute tutorial on it.

and hasn't felt good today (which makes our days kind of hard),
she still managed to make me smile and laugh.
As I started to shovel the 8 inches of snow off my drive way
a brother and sister walking by with shovels in there hands asked if
they could help. I being the negative one told them no cause I didn't
have any money and didn't want to pay to have someone do
something I am totally capable of doing.
( I had turned down 2 sixteen year old boys doing it earlier cause I was not paying $20)
Only to my surprise the 14 year old girl says to me no we don't
want to get paid we just want to help. (in my head I am thinking it's
some how a scam) So I say to them you don't want to get paid then
why are you doing it? The 12 year old boy pipes in and says we were
board at home and our mom told us to go do something nice,
so were seeing if we can help people shovel snow.
Tears almost filled my eyes right then and there. So the 3 of
us shoveled the drive way and the side walk. As we were shoveling I
keep thinking a few things. 1st was how many 12 & 14 year old's would
do this? 2nd their mom did something right in raising these two kids.
Even if my mom told me to go do something nice I probably would
never have done this. 3rd was gratitude towards them for helping me
do something that would have taken me 15-20 minutes to do and the 3
of us did it in maybe 5 min. After we were done I invited them in my
house and gave them a whopping $3.00 (thats all I had) and some
candy for helping. The sad part was I couldn't even tell them to go get
a pop with the money cause it wasn't enough for each of them to have
one. So today I was grateful for my two new shoveling friends.

T..Your embroidering skills amaze me. You should start an embroidering blog. haha. But seriously they look really good and so cute. I miss that sweetie pie face of Georgie's. I'm sad she is sick. And I just got teary reading about the two cute teenage helpers. Bless their hearts. And their moms.
They were strangers who could have beat you over the head with their snow shovels, stolen your baby, runaway with all your valuables, kicked you in the stomach as they left and all for a 5 minute job! to clear your drive!way Godd bless that you are still alive but he said to tell you to be careful
It gives me hope in the future that there really are stories and people like that out there.
Tiana, I love reading your blog and all the fun things you do with your little family. I also love when we can find the simplest things to be grateful for. Happy Holidays!
Your mom! ha! I'm also glad you found some helpers that didn't want to beat and rob you.
Josh told me yesterday that we need to hurry and have our baby boy so Georgia isn't too old to marry him. We just love her - she's so stinking cute.
Aww...how nice! I need some nice neighbors like those! Want to trade?
p.s. cute bags! boy are you talented :) and i hope georgia gets feeling better! we need to hang out!
Thanks for sharing T!
