A sure sign of summer is when you start to hear
an ice cream truck song as it slowly approaches your
street. I love the sound and it reminds me of when I was
little and they had ice cream trucks in Utah (I don't think they
do anymore.) So when I heard that sound again here
in New York I was so excited...for myself, for Jace but mostly
for Georgia I love that she will have that memories of the ice cream
truck in the summer. Then I caught a glimpse of the truck...
Mr. Ding-A-Ling
are you kidding me? Why would you name your ice cream
business that when you know it is targeted to little kids?
The first thing that both Jace and I said is Georgia
will never be allowed to get anything from Mr. Ding-A-Ling.
But we broke down this week and made our first purchase.
And it was sure good.

So crazy!! That's the name that Josh makes me call him when he dishes up ice cream for me. :)
Totally kidding.
It is definitely creepy. 1950's appropriate, perhaps, but not now. There are way too many inferences that will be made.
This post made me laugh! I thought the same thing about the name when I first saw that truck! And it still puzzles me when I see it drive by. But I do agree with you that ice cream trucks are the best!
Oh come on T, you know you love Mr. Ding-a-ling...Good news, the ice cream truck delivers to the beach - - so cute, the ice cream man comes to the end of the little walkway and rings a dinner bell and all the kids go sprinting. Now get down here. I'll call u lateskies. xoxo
haha, we hear that guy every night! but ben will not let me buy anything from him! he keeps saying we have icecream in the freezer. i have some great memories of the icecream man, too. think i'll have to cave and make a purchase too. he isn't creepy guy is he?
Tiana this is terrible... First of all, ice cream truck drivers need to watch their backs because people are always a little nervous of them. But this guy is really making himself a target on this one. Gross
